2025 Walmart Black Friday Dates You Shouldn't Miss
Walmart's official 2025 Black Friday dates, member early-access times, and deal details — Event 1 and Event 2 side by side.

It's easy to lose track of exactly when Walmart's Black Friday happens, especially since 2025 wasn't a single event — it was split into two. Here are the exact dates, straight from Walmart's own announcement.
2025 Walmart Black Friday dates
| Event | Dates | Format | Member early access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Event 1 | Nov. 14-16 | Online + in-store | From 7 p.m. ET, Nov. 13 |
| Event 2 (online) | Nov. 25-27 | Online only | From 7 p.m. ET, Nov. 24 |
| Event 2 (in-store) | Nov. 28-30 | Online + in-store | - |
The day people actually mean by "Black Friday" — the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) — is Nov. 28, when in-store shopping opened up for Event 2. The sale then rolled into Cyber Monday deals through Dec. 1.
How much did early access actually help
Walmart+ members got 5 hours of early online access starting 7 p.m. ET the evening before each event officially opened. Since popular items often sell out fast once an event goes live to everyone, that 5-hour window made a real difference if you had a specific item in mind.
How big were the discounts
Per Walmart's own announcement, this year's events offered up to 60% off top brands, with thousands of items under $20. Toys, electronics, home, fashion, and beauty made up most of the deals, including brands like Delonghi, Apple, LEGO, Dyson, La Roche-Posay, Levi's, and Barbie.
Splitting the sale into two separate events, instead of one single weekend, spreads demand out over a longer window — in practice that can mean fewer instant sellouts than a one-day rush, but it also means the deal lineup isn't identical across both events. Checking each event's own deals page, rather than assuming everything from Event 1 carries over to Event 2, is worth the extra few minutes.
Is a Walmart+ membership worth it just for this
If you don't already have Walmart+, new members could get a free 30-day trial, or lock in an annual membership at 50% off — $49 instead of the usual price — through Dec. 2, 2025. Either route unlocked the 5-hour early-access window for both events, on top of year-round perks like free shipping with no order minimum and free grocery delivery. If you were already planning to shop the sale for a specific item, the trial alone can pay for itself if it helps you beat a sellout.
Extra return time if your gift doesn't land right
Walmart also extended its holiday return window this year: anything purchased between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025 could be returned until Jan. 31, 2026, instead of the usual 90-day window. That's useful if you're buying gifts early and want to leave room for exchanges after the holidays. A few categories run on shorter timelines regardless — electronics, wireless phones, appliances, fine jewelry, and anything bought through a third-party Walmart Marketplace seller — so it's worth checking the receipt or order page for the specific return deadline before assuming the extended window applies.
